Project MOXY

Chief Engineer

May 2023 - May 2024

M51 Space is an educational 501(c)3 nonprofit founded in the summer of 2022 and is on a mission to inspire the next generation of space engineers through ambitious rocket engineering projects.

For the 2023-24 academic year, M51 Space embarked on its most ambitious effort to date, a suborbital-scale hybrid rocket engine called MOXY. The engine will generate 2000 Newtons of thrust using subcritical nitrous oxide as its oxidizer and a paraffin/ABS composite fuel grain. As Chief Engineer, I successfully led the team to a complete design and review by professionals from SpaceX, Stoke Space, and other engineering companies.
